TDB Real Estate has successfully advised The Helmsley Group on the sale of two prominent office buildings in Northampton: Woodlands House and Princess House, on Cliftonville.
Woodlands House, a three-storey, 14,065 sq ft office building, was acquired by Planet Education Networks. The purchaser has repurposed the building as an adult education facility.
Princess House, a four-storey, 23,920 sq ft office building, was sold to Clients of Berrys’s who have submitted planning for a change of use to residential.
Planet Education Networks were unrepresented in the transaction. Kevin Odell at Berrys acted on behalf of purchaser of Princess House. Legal work for the Vendor was completed by James Bradley of Knights PLC.
Jack Brown, Director at TDB Real Estate commented: “These transactions highlight the adaptability of office assets in today’s market and reflect the growing demand for education-focused space,”
Ed Harrowsmith Director at Helmsley commented: “‘Helmsley Group acquired the buildings back in 2013 with our investors benefitting from two separate government covenants over the duration of our ownership. We were delighted to exit both Woodlands and Princess House in recent years with TDBRE providing excellent advice across both lease and sale transactions on our behalf.”
